When the ambient temperature is lower than 25 C, the battery capacity is lower than the rated capacity. Capacity varies with temperature. Maintenance personnel must conscientiously adjust the discharge current of the battery according to the actual temperature change, and control the temperature of the battery to keep it in the range of 22 ~35 ~C. High temperature service environment is the main reason that the actual life of storage battery can not reach the design life.
The acceptance of charging current under constant voltage doubles with the increase of temperature of UPS battery l0 C, and the life of UPS battery will be shortened by the increase of total cumulative charge. The basic requirement for UPS battery operation and maintenance is that in order to make the battery always fully charged without overcharging, more than 80% of the rated capacity should be released when the battery is supplied to the load alone.
