1. The molar volume of lead sulfate in deep discharge is larger than that of lead oxide, and the volume of active material will expand during discharge. Converting one mole of lead oxide into one mole of lead sulfate will increase the volume by 95%. The binding of lead dioxide molecules itself is not firm. After the active material on the positive electrode expands during discharge, the lead dioxide particles will gradually relax.
2. Overwhelm Charging the battery will electrolyze water into oxygen and hydrogen. If the overcharge is serious, a large amount of oxygen will be released. Due to the strong oxidation of oxygen, the precipitated oxygen will also corrode the pole piece, precipitate the active substances of the pole piece, and affect the service life of Yuasa battery.
3. The temperature is too high. When the temperature of the battery rises to 45 ℃, it is beneficial to the battery and can prolong the service life of the battery. However, in the process of charging, if the temperature of the battery is higher than 50 ℃, the corrosion of acid to the battery plate will be accelerated, and the shell of the battery will also age rapidly due to the increase of temperature.
4. Sulfuric acid corrosion increases the density of sulfuric acid in the electrolyte, which will increase the capacity of the positive plate, thus increasing the capacity of the battery. However, it will increase the self discharge of the battery, accelerate the corrosion of the electrode plate, loosen and fall off the lead dioxide, aggravate the corrosion of the battery pole and reduce the service life of the battery.
